Megalink Electronic Target System
World-Class Target Technology
North Sydney Smallbore & Air Rifle Club is proud to utilise the Megalink Electronic Target System, bringing modern target shooting technology to our members and visitors.
Electronic targets provide an experience similar to that used at major national and international competitions. Every shot is detected electronically and displayed instantly on a monitor at the firing point, allowing shooters to see their score and shot placement in real time.
This technology enhances training, improves match efficiency, and provides a level of accuracy that is difficult to achieve with traditional paper targets.

How Electronic Targets Work
Unlike traditional target systems where shooters must retrieve or manually score targets, electronic targets use advanced acoustic sensors to accurately determine the exact location of every shot.
When a shot passes through the target face, the system instantly calculates its position and displays:
The result is immediate feedback that helps shooters analyse performance and make adjustments while training or competing.
Benefits for Shooters
Instant Feedback
Every shot appears on the monitor within moments of firing, allowing shooters to immediately evaluate their performance.
Greater Training Efficiency
More time can be spent shooting and learning rather than changing targets or calculating scores.
Improved Accuracy Analysis
Electronic targets provide detailed information about shot placement and group size, helping athletes identify trends and areas for improvement.
Competition Ready
The same style of technology is used throughout modern ISSF competition, making electronic targets an excellent preparation tool for higher-level events.
Enhanced Match Experience
Real-time scoring creates a more engaging and professional competition environment for both shooters and spectators.
PAPER Targets
At NSSBARC we predominently shoot on the electronic target system, with the exception of 10m Air Rifle. A number of competitions held around the state and country are shot on paper. It is important if you are interested in competing to know how to shoot on Paper, as such between each electronic target at our range we have facility to put up paper targets.
10m Air Rifle Targets
For 10m Air Rifle we currently use paper targets similar to the ones pictured.
The 10-ring for 10m Air Rifle is only 0.5mm
