Pathway to Membership
North Sydney Smallbore and Air Rifle Club is a community club run by volunteers, we have a great crew of members and enjoy competing both internally and around NSW and Australia.
We have recently set up a Pathway to Membership program to allow unlicensed people the opportunity to learn about each of the below shooting disciplines and apply for membership and a firearms licens (if you already have a Firearms License please see below section “Licensed Pathway”)
At the club we shoot a number of different disciplines:
- 50m Bench Rest
- 50m Prone
- 10m Air Rifle (Supported and Unsupported)
- 3 Position
- Bench Sporter
- F-Class
WHO CAN APPLY
- You must be 18 years or older (anyone 12-18 years old must join with an actively involved parent or guardian)
- You do not need a firearms license, but if successful in the program you will be able to apply for a license on successful membership.
COST
- Adults – people aged 21+ - $240
- Juniors – people aged 12-21 - $180
- This is a non-refundable fee.
WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM INCLUDE:
- 3 x Sessions - Sessions will be held on Tuesday and Friday evenings by prior appointment.
- Rifle hire
- Range hire
- Ammunition (50 rounds per session)
- Firearms Safety talk
- Supervision and coaching
- Application fee for Membership

Licensed Pathway to Membership
WHO CAN APPLY
If you already have a Firearms License the pathway is simpler.
For any licensed person to become a member we ask that you first complete a minimum of 3 attendances as a Visitor, this is an opportunity for you to get to know the members and for us to get to know you.
VISITOR FEES:
- Adult - people aged 21+ - $38
- Junior – people aged 12-21 - $28
- Rifle Hire - $7
- Ammunition available
Once you have completed your 3 attendances you can apply for membership.

types of Membership
MEMBERSHIP SUB-CATEGORIES:
- Senior Membership – an active shooting member, age 21 to 60.
- Junior Membership – an active shooting member, aged under 21.
- Concession Memb. – an active shooting member, aged over 60.
- Pensioner/Disability – an active shooting member (Card information required).
- Social Membership – NOT an active shooting member and cannot access firearms.
- Family Membership – ( eg at least 2 seniors and 1 junior child in a family group)
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE MEMBERSHIP:
- New South Wales Small Bore & Air Rifle Association membership allowing you to compete in both State and National Competitions.
- All Range fees for the year, no need to pay every visit.
